1975 - Incorporated to develop, manufacture and market solar energy collector panels. 1980 - Diversified into specialty molded foam insulators and tooling for the aerospace industries using technology gained from solar manufacturing. 1982 - Changed our focus to building checking fixtures - A Chrysler wheelhouse gauge was our first fixture. 1986 - Formed an in house engineering group to design and build fixtures utilizing CAD/CAM. 1987 - Awarded our first design and build package from the Budd Company for (6) Ford Explorer doors which started a trend of design and build packages that is on going to date. 1988 - Awarded our first total CAD/CAM design and build package from Chrysler for minivan fenders and lift gate. 1989 - Solartec was invited to participate in General Motors revolutionary Saturn program - our first "full service" program. Responsible for process, design, build, and incorporation of changes for (126) checking fixtures. 1991 - Expanded our capabilities to include assembly tooling. 1992 - Chrysler Pentastar Quality Through Excellence Award Winner. 1994 - Added line dies to our product mix. - Chrysler door outer belt panel. 1995 - ISO 9001 registered. 1996 - Built our first CNC milling machine - (FPT LEM 937/L). 1997 - Designed and built our first automated cooling system production test stations for Chrysler supplier Valeo Engine Cooling, Inc. 1998 - QS-9000 and TE Supplement 3rd edition certified. 1999 - Designed and built BMW X5 Aufbaubock (body functional build CMM gage). 2001 - Designed and built (21) checking fixtures and (1) transfer die for the Freightliner M2 program. 2002 - Designed and built (54) checking fixtures, (1) progressive die and (3) transfer dies for the BMW Z4 roadster program. Designed and built (85) Checking fixtures for the Chrsyler LX, WK, HB & PT-27 programs. Designed and built (30) Checking fixtures for the Nissan 2004 ZW Titan pickup truck program. Designed and built (4) hemming dies for the Ford F-150 SuperCab program. 2003 - Designed and built (8) hemming dies for the Ford Five Hundred and Ford Freestyle. Designed and built (2) progressive dies for the 2004 Nissan Titan pickup truck. Built (1) progressive die for General Motors for the 2004 Cadillac LAV program. 2004 - Installed High Speed Press for Production Stamping 2005 - Ran Production assembly for Nissan Pathfinder Frame components. 2006 - GM Progressive Dies, Dana-Toyota Dies, Midway-Ford 2007 - GM Progressive Dies, Nissan Production Stamping, Ford Production Stamping and value added assembly 2008 - GM Production Assistance, Nissan Production Stamping, Ford Production Stamping and value added assembly |
